The Thursday Murder Club movie has just been given a release date by Netflix, so now is the perfect time to give the books a go if you haven’t already.
Thankfully, Amazon is currently running a sale on the paperback editions of the books, which centre around a group of four elderly friends in a retirement village who form a club to discuss unsolved murders.
The first three books in Richard Osman’s cozy mystery series – The Thursday Murder Club, The Man Who Died Twice and The Bullet That Missed – are 50% off. While the fourth book, The Last Devil to Die, is similarly discounted, at 45% off.
In terms of how much they actually cost, the first three books are a fiver each, while the fourth is £5.50.
The fifth book in the series, titled The Impossible Fortune, is set to be released on 25 September. But if you can’t wait until then, you can try the first book in a new series by the TV presenter.

The Thursday Murder Club movie has an absolute corker of a cast line-up, with Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley starring as the main quartet of Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim.
The supporting cast includes Naomi Ackie, Jonathan Pryce, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, and David Tennant, and their roles were all recently revealed.
The Thursday Murder Club movie will be released on Thursday 28 August, exclusively on Netflix.
