Rafael Benitez has not managed in the Premier League since his short spell with Everton during the 2021/22 season.
Despite coaching Everton, Benitez is synonymous with their Merseyside rivals Liverpool, with whom he won the Champions League.
Benitez also coached Chelsea on an interim basis, where he won the Europa League. However, supporters at Stamford Bridge never took to the ex-Reds boss.
The Spanish manager was popular at Newcastle United, where he won the Championship. This was during the Mike Ashley era at Newcastle, where fans were often disgruntled.
His last job in football was at Celta Vigo, but he lost his job after a 4-0 loss to his former club, Real Madrid.
It appears that Benitez’s days managing top European teams are over, but there are still clubs that will take a chance on him.

Daily Mail Sport has reported that “Benitez is set to become the new Panathinaikos boss on a two-year deal.”
Is Rafa Benitez a good fit for Panathinaikos?
Panathinaikos is currently seventh in the Super League Greece. This is not good enough as the club is expected to compete with the biggest clubs in the country: PAOK, Olympiakos, and AEK Athens.
They are also competing in the Europa League this season and face Feyenoord tonight.
The Greek giants do not have the most noteworthy squad, but Renato Sanchez is at the club on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
Panathinaikos need a top manager who can steady the ship as they have already had two managers this year: Rui Vitoria and Christos Kontis.
