New rumors are circulating in France about the country’s next Eurovision representative. According to journalist Fabien Lecoeuvre, who spoke on the W9 show Tout beau, tout neuf, Pierre Garnier, winner of the 11th season of Star Academy, could be the artist representing France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

Garnier, who achieved massive success with his hit single “Ceux qu’on était”, appears to be among the names currently being considered by the French delegation for the 2026 contest.

According to Lecoeuvre’s information, France Télévisions has also approached several other well-known artists for potential participation, including Amir, Juliette Armanet, Patrick Bruel, Julien Doré, Julien Lieb, Marguerite, Marine, Vianney, and Ycare.

Although there is still no official confirmation from France Télévisions, selecting Pierre Garnier would align with the country’s recent strategy of entrusting popular and established artists to secure a strong presence in the European competition.
