Three more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of “devoted and caring” father.
Kassim Mohammed, 32, was shot dead in Watery Street, Sheffield, on September 30, prompting an immediate murder probe into his death. It brings the number of arrests to six people.
Three more people were arrested yesterday and today in connection with the death of the “devoted young father, a loving son, and a kind, family-oriented man” – bringing the total number of arrests to six.
Following several warrants from Merseyside Police executed this morning (October 24), two men, aged 27 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of murder, where they currently remain in custody.
A 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday (October 23) evening in South Yorkshire in connection to the murder. The man remains in police custody.

Prior to this, a 31-year-old woman and two men, aged 22 and 20, were also arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Speaking on the investigation, Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles said: “The central focus of the investigation has been the same from day one – providing answers for Kassim’s loved ones.
“Our investigation has continued at pace since the tragic incident on 30 September which resulted in Kassim’s death. We have now made six arrests in connection with the shooting and I would like to thank our local communities for their help in providing us with vital information.”
