One of the cannabis farms in Rochdale
Two men have been arrested following raids that uncovered cannabis farms in Rochdale.
GMP and Rochdale Council worked together to execute several warrants in the town yesterday morning (October 23).
One of the raids was at a home on Essex Street in the Milkstone and Deeplish area, where another cannabis grow with 100 plants was discovered.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and abstracting electricity and they remain in custody at this time.

A second home was searched on Kings Road, Turf Hill where a large cannabis farm with over 200 plants across two buildings was found. Nobody was inside the building and the electricity was bypassed.
Sgt Walsh from Rochdale North Neighbourhood Team said: “The discovery of these cannabis grows while conducting partnership work with Rochdale Council are key in disrupting organised crime in the area.
“The large amount of cannabis seized was nearly ready to be harvested and would have soon been sold across Rochdale to vulnerable people.
“We encourage residents and members of the public to report any suspicious activity which may indicate similar crimes taking place.”
