Edinburgh city centre stairwell taped off as 'forensics' spotted at scene

Capital officers have closed off a city centre stairwell in response to an emergency call out this morning.

An Edinburgh resident shared how Police Scotland had taped off the area next to Holyrood restaurant and Bar on Holyrood Road on Saturday October 25.

At around 8.50am, roughly two police vans, five cars and two ambulances were in attendance at the scene.

In images shared with Edinburgh Live, several officers appear to be on site as they direct members of the public away from the area.

An eyewitness reported seeing CiD officers as well as those in forensic clothing alongside paramedics.
