Ant and Dec issued an announcement with viewers just minutes into the show.
In a first for the show, the golden buzzer will feature in the live rounds of Britain’s Got Talent, granting judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, as well as hosts Ant and Dec, the power to fast-track one act directly to the grand final.
Amanda was handed the power during the first show, however, she appeared less than pleased.
“No!” she exclaimed. “Why me first?”
Pointing at Simon, Amanda confessed: “I thought he would get it because he’s in charge.”
