Part of the M58 will be closed this evening and overnight. The motorway will be closed westbound and eastbound from junction one to Switch Island from 9pm today (October 25) to 5am tomorrow (October 26).
The overnight closure will be in place so that the cutting and planting of plants can take place. The National Highways website says: “Overall Scheme Details: M58 Eastbound and Westbound junction 1 to Switch (Island) – Carriageway Closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting) on behalf of Amey.”
Additionally, the M53 will be closed southbound from junction three to junction four. The entry and the exit slip roads will be closed as well. These closures will also take place from 9pm tonight to 5am tomorrow.
About its closures, the National Highways website says: “Advance notification of full closures on England’s motorways and major A roads.
“Closures are listed by start date; select a day from the row above the closures list to see the planned closures for that day.
“Closures generally run 8pm-6am unless they are over 12 hours. If you are travelling in the early morning, please note that your route may be impacted by closures starting the evening before.”
