Jennifer Lawrence revealed she asked Robert Pattinson about the cheating scandal involving his ex, Kristen Stewart, that Donald Trump famously weighed in on in 2012.
The actress was promoting her and Pattinson’s film, “Die My Love,” on the Thursday episode of “The Graham Norton Show,” when she shockingly brought up the breakup scandal that dominated headlines over a decade ago.
“I mean, if you think I didn’t ask him about Donald Trump tweeting about the breakup with Kristen, obviously,” Lawrence said when asked about her and Pattinson both achieving massive fame early in their careers due to starring in the “Hunger Games” and “Twilight” franchises, respectively.
“It was, like, three days after the photos came out with her with, you know, whatever. Young people make mistakes,” she continued. “And Donald Trump was like, ‘He better leave her. He can do better than her,’ going on a huge rant.”

The audience laughed and fellow guest Jeremy Allen White commented, “I don’t remember that at all!”
Fellow guest Tessa Thompson also quipped, “That’s like a different kind of ‘I made it,’ you know?”
Stewart, 35, and Pattinson, 39, started dating in 2009 after meeting on the set of “Twilight.” In 2012, the actress was photographed kissing and embracing her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders — who was married to Liberty Ross at the time. Stewart later issued a public apology to Pattinson.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” she said in a statement. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Sanders also shared in a statement at the time, “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
Trump also weighed in on Twitter (now X), bashing Stewart in multiple posts.
“[Kristen] cheated on him like a dog and will do it again — just watch. He can do much better,” Trump wrote at the time.

“Of course he had to weigh in on my tarring and feathering,” Stewart said. “It’s like, ‘What is this 20-year-old who has no idea about life doing to this man?’”
“F—k you, b—h!” she also declared.
