Fire crews have rushed to the scene of a blaze at a high rise in Birmingham.
Four crews from West Midlands Fire Service were called to Salop Street, in Highgate, this afternoon, Sunday, October 26.
The service said the fire involved a tall building.

An “avoid the area” plea was also given by the fire service.
The fire service were unable to confirm any possible injuries or if any rescues had been launched.

It shared some details of the incident at 2.50pm.
The fire service posted on X: “We have 4 crews in attendance at Salop Street, Highgate, where they have responded to a tall building fire.
“Please avoid the area, where possible.”
In an update, it added: “This was a fire in a ground floor bin room.
“Our first crew arrived three minutes after they were mobilised – but the fire was already out, thanks to the building’s sprinkler system.”
