Friends and loved ones of Keith McIvor, aka JD Twitch, will come together to remember the Optimo disc jockey at St Luke’s in Calton.
In an Instagram post, the team behind Optimo, which includes McIvor’s longtime creative partner Jonnie Wilkes, announced plans for the invite-only memorial
They said: “Keith’s memorial will be an invite-only gathering to remember and celebrate his life. For invited guests — please check your email (including junk mail) for details and RSVP using your access code
“He touched so many lives that it’s simply not possible to make this an open event for everyone who loved him.”
However, members of the public are invited to attend a live stream of the memorial at the Winged Ox next door.
The post said: “We’re so sorry if anyone has been missed – this has been a huge task in a short space of time while we’re still managing our own grief, and we’ve likely missed some people we meant to include.
“We hope this option gives everyone who wants to be there a chance to join. Please book to avoid disappointment.

“Keith was never one for nostalgia for its own sake,” the post continued. “After remembering and saying goodbye, take a moment to look forward and think about how we can carry on his legacy.
“Connect with your community, support those who need it, be kind, support your local record shop, support outsider artists, and keep it weird.”
Tickets to the public aspect of the memorial can be booked here.
