Sam Walker has denied sending threatening voice notes to a woman. The 42-year-old, of the Strand in Liverpool city centre, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court this afternoon, Monday, after being charged with one offence of sending a communication threatening serious harm.

This alleges that, on August 24 this year, he “sent communications that threatened serious harm, intending, or being reckless as to whether, an individual encountering the message would fear that the threat would be carried out”.

The count relates to two voice notes which were sent to a woman named Sharnie Williams on this date, with the threat said to have concerned her dad Clive Williams.

Wearing a white polo shirt in the dock and a black compression sleeve on his left arm, Walker spoke to confirm his name before pleading not guilty.

He will now face a three-day trial back before the same court in the week commencing September 28 2026.

Walker was released on bail until this date under conditions not to contact Ms Williams or Mr Williams or enter Dorset. Adjourning the case, Judge Louise Brandon told him: “You have pleaded not guilty to to a serious offence. There will be a trial in the week commencing September 28 next year. You must attend court on that date.”

A previous plea and trial preparation hearing in the case had been listed for Monday last week.

However, Walker was said to have failed to appear in court on this occasion due to him apparently being in hospital as a result of being stabbed and shot.

His counsel Robert Wyn Jones said on this occasion: “Sadly, he is in A&E at Chester Hospital waiting to be seen. It is to do with a serious assault that he suffered over the summer. He was stabbed and shot in July.

“He says that he he been suffering problems as a result of that damage. He has at least been in contact with those instructing me up until today, so I seek that we give him the benefit of the doubt today.”
