An investigation is ongoing after two people were stabbed when disorder erupted in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police and paramedics were called to Manor Road in Stechford, around 10am on Monday (October 27), where they found two men, aged 23 and 40, with knife wounds.

The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, but were also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

A woman aged 19 was also detained on suspicion of violent disorder and remains in police custody.

The section of Manor Road, close to the junction of Station Road, remains sealed off by officers this evening, and extra patrols will be laid on.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to reports of disorder on Manor Road, Birmingham, shortly after 10am this morning (October 27).

“Two men aged 23 and 40 were taken to hospital with stab injuries, and both have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

“A woman aged 19 has also been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and is in police custody.

“A scene remains in place and local officers are in the area to offer reassurance.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that one male was given advanced trauma care from paramedics before he was taken to hospital.

The spokeswoman said: “We were called at around 10am to reports of a stabbing on Manor Road in Stechford.

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene.

“Upon arrival, we found a man with serious injuries.

“He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
