A huge Christmas event planned by viral beauty company P.Louise will not be going ahead, the company has confirmed.

Pinkmas had initially been announced to take place at the Trafford Centre but the location was then changed to Barton Dock Road, TraffordCity, with founder and CEO Paige Williams promising its festive event would be ‘bigger and more immersive than ever’.

Set to include its own pink ice skating rink, a festive fairground and a full-on P.Louise pantomime, the first wave of tickets sold out within minutes of their release.

But now it’s been confirmed the event will not be going ahead with the company saying it was ‘due to circumstances completely out of our control’ and that ‘despite months of preparation and hard work, the necessary licenses unfortunately weren’t granted in time to deliver the experience as planned’.

“The team and I have been working tirelessly to bring an even bigger, more magical experience to life but unfortunately, the necessary licences haven’t been granted in time.”

P.Louise says all ticket holders are being contacted and each will receive a full refund, alongside a number of extras from the brand as ‘a thank you for their patience and support’, including complimentary access to the P.Louise Empire and Christmas Experience at the Stockport HQ, as well as additional exclusive perks.

Paige added: “I am so grateful for the love, support and excitement our community continues to show us – it means everything to me.”

She confirmed that ‘as a thank you for their patience and understanding, every ticket holder will receive’ the following:

  • A full refund for your Pinkmas booking
  • A complimentary visit to the P.Louise Empire
  • Access to the Lip Oil Room at The Empire
  • Full complimentary access to the Christmas Experience
  • PLUS a £20 drinks voucher per booking

Those unable to visit The Empire will receive a P.Louise 12 Sleighs of Christmas Advent Calendar (worth £200) per booking as an alternative.

Earlier this month, Paige also updated followers on delays to the huge new P.Louise City that is being built at Trafford Palazzo.

It had initially been planned to open this month, but Paige has now said it’s unlikely to open this year.

The company said: “While we are heartbroken Pinkmas can’t go ahead as planned, the incredible structures our team have already begun building will now form part of the next chapter for the P.Louise Empire, which will be transforming in January. We can’t wait for our community to see it.”

P.Louise said that ‘all refunds will be processed by Friday this week’.
