Ruben Amorim could make a series of changes to his Manchester United side when they take on Bournemouth.

Manchester United head to the Vitality Stadium on the back of successive defeats against Newcastle and Wolves.

As things stand, United are 10 points off the top half of the Premier League table, with five games remaining.

Bournemouth are positioned eighth, pushing for a European spot after an impressive campaign under Andoni Iraola.

Ruben Amorim will go into the game with one eye on next Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first-leg against Athletic Club, but he is likely to give minutes to some of his regulars as preparation for that crucial European tie.

United’s head coach mixed things up for the 1-0 defeat to Wolves as Tyler Fredricson made his first-team debut. Amorim ruled Diogo Dalot out of action for the foreseeable future after sustaining a muscle injury.

United’s next Premier League meeting sees Amorim’s side travel to Bournemouth, with the Reds sitting 14th in the league standings.

Amorim will want to avoid any additional injuries before taking on Athletic Club, but he will also be mindful of the fact that his key players need to be playing competitive football to keep their match sharpness.

Here is our predicted line-up for the game.

Goalkeeper

In goal, Andre Onana keeps his place because Amorim has chosen to stand by his goalkeeper. The Cameroon international needs to build on his confidence ahead of a big night in Europe.

Defence

Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are likely to return to line-up against Bournemouth, with Noussair Mazraoui accompanying the defensive duo to form a trio. The injury to Dalot could see Patrick Dorgu start as the right wing-back, while Harry Amass operates on the left.

Midfield

Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen could start in the centre, while Amorim needs to be mindful of the fact that Casemiro is 33 years old. It may be best to rest the Brazilian or name him on the bench. The two No.10 roles could be occupied by Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho.

Forward

Amorim has just two options for the lone striker rule following the injury to Joshua Zirkzee. Although Rasmus Hojlund has struggled this season, a goal could be what he needs before facing Athletic Club. United fans will hope to see Chido Obi get a cameo from the bench at the very least.
