The team takes a significant step forward in its ongoing transformation, unveiling a major restructuring of its Sports Area designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen its ability to face the sporting challenges of the coming seasons.

The restructuring, led by Sebastián Unzué, who takes on the role of Head of Sports, involves the creation and consolidation of four key departments: Performance, Racing, Health and Riders, each with specialized managers coordinating their respective areas.

We want to keep evolving as an organization and provide the team with a modern, efficient structure that meets the demands of today’s cycling,” said Sebastián Unzué. “This new model will allow us to optimize processes and strengthen collaboration across all departments.

Movistar Team is an organization I have always deeply respected, and being part of it from the inside is something that truly motivates me.”

In the Health DepartmentIñigo Michelena will oversee all medical and well-being aspects related to the riders.

Finally, a Riders Department has been created, serving as the representatives of the cyclists across the different structures of the team.
