Being sick is the worst. I don’t get sick very often anymore, but when I do, it has me ready to beg for mercy. It makes me wonder how we used to go to school with stuffy noses and sore throats. Now, I can hardly get out of bed!
Recently, when one bird mom had a cold, she decided to stay at home. Her Cockatoo makes the best nurse in the world, apparently: when she realized her mom was sick, she immediately ran over to help her out!
The Parrot Lady is so lucky to have a sweetie bird like Sweet Pea around to lift her spirits. Without this hand holding, she may never get better!

Sweet Pea is the most loving Cockatoo in the world. She adores her mom and does whatever she can to brighten her days, from making friends with Frenchies to turning her kitchen into her own personal water park. She’s well-loved and very cute; she can get away with anything.
She’s genuinely sweet, too; she’s content to sit with her mom and her Chocolate Lab brother, Copper. She also has a parrot brother, too, but he’s nowhere to be seen. We know who their mom’s favorite child is!

Even when you’re sick, you have to care for your animals. They rely entirely on you, and it’s one of the things you really have to consider when you’re thinking about getting a pet. Cockatoos in particular can get very rowdy if they’re feeling left out.
Luckily, Sweet Pea is very well-trained. She knows how to be comforting and mostly calm: she’s content to sit with her mom and comfort her by holding her hand. There’s nothing more you could ask for in a companion!
