Two males were rushed to Edinburgh hospital on Friday evening after a one-vehicle crash.

The incident took place on the A1 between Fort Kinnaird and Wallyford around 10.55pm on April 25.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and two men aged 43 and 46 were taken to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Their injuries have been described as ‘serious’.

Police closed the road and the route re-opened around 3.15am on April 26. Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.55am on Friday, 25 April, 2025, we were called to a report of a one-vehicle crash on the A1 between Fort Kinnaird and Wallyford.

“Emergency services attended and two men, aged 43 and 46, were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment of serious injuries.
