A dream home that is up for grabs in south Manchester has had its asking price slashed by £300,000.
The beautiful period property in Whalley Range was listed for sale back in January at £1.95 million, but this month it has been reduced down to £1.6 million.
For anyone who can afford the hefty price tag, the ‘one of a kind’ home boasts a whopping seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a cinema room and several spacious living areas with an array of original features.
The Victorian villa, built in 1886, sits in the leafy, sought-after suburb of Whalley Range with its wide, tree-lined streets and large red brick villas.

Despite not having found a buyer yet, the property caught the eyes of house hunters online when it was shared by Rightmove earlier this year.
Sharing the property listing with their 132,000 Instagram followers back in January, Rightmove wrote: “Check out this stunning Victorian red-brick villa, built in 1886. And with 7 spacious bedrooms, there’s always room for more.”

@bij_nancy_thuis_ said: “In love with the conservatory,” as @tracy_lives_ wrote: “That house is stunning,” and @michellewest5236 added: “Charming elegance.”
The eclectic home spans almost 5,000 square foot of living space, with carefully designed rooms spread across four floors.

Every bedroom is unique in its style and design, featuring everything from hot air balloons to flower walls.
Many of the bedrooms also have their own private en-suite bathrooms, which each compliment the style and character of the accompanying bedroom.
Personal estate agent Jamie Burke, who is marketing the property, says: “Built in 1885, the house sits amongst a number of grand Victorian villas built around Alexandra Park.
“This house has undergone an extensive restoration programme over the past 10 years by its current owner, who has respected the Victorian sensibilities of the building whilst introducing a rich colour and material palette.”

“The ground floor is made up of multiple large reception rooms and the stunning family kitchen with bespoke cabinetry and veined-marble worktops,” he continues.
“Huge windows flood the rooms with natural light, whilst the spectacular sun room is breathtakingly beautiful and overlooks the picturesque gardens. There is also a guest bathroom and utility room found on this floor.
“Below ground, be amazed at yet more living space. A dedicated cinema room with old theatre chairs and additional guest bedroom awaits. The basement level also provides plenty of useful storage space.”

Jamie continued: “Ascending the imposing staircase and past the original stained glass window overlooking the landing, the first floor is made up of three individually perfect bedrooms, each with their own stylish decor and personality.
“The master bedroom has been turned into a magnificent facility with its very own walk-in dressing room and full size bathroom.
“The top floor continues to impress; another large landing area giving way to four more bedrooms and a family bathroom.”

“One of the rooms has been turned into a home work-space, whilst at the end of the corridor you’ll find the most quaint and quirky bedroom, which resembles a boutique hotel room and boasts an in-room roll-top bathtub,” James added.
“Externally, the pristine gardens have been beautifully landscaped and provide the most serene and otherworldly retreat. You wouldn’t think the city centre of Manchester was just 10 minutes away.
“The gardens are separated into sections of seating, lawns, and there’s even a private hot-tub terrace to the rear.”

Detached from the main house, The Coach House has recently been built as a standalone guest space, complete with a kitchen, shower room and mezzanine sleeping area above. There is also private parking for two cars.
