Beloved comedian and television personality Peter Kay has announced his triumphant return to Glasgow next year.
The star of Phoenix Nights and Car Share will grace the stage at the OVO Hydro on Saturday, 4 April 2026, and in celebration, a limited number of extra tickets – including premium seats previously reserved for production – will be available from this Saturday at 10am.
Organisers have hailed the comedian’s historic, record-breaking UK tour as “one of the most successful stand-up runs in British comedy history”, captivating audiences across the nation.
Fans now have one final chance to secure some of the best seats in the house for what is set to be an unforgettable night of laughter at Scotland’s most iconic arena.

Tickets, including the newly released premium seats, will go on sale on Saturday, 1 November at 10am via Ticketmaster.
Debbie McWilliams, Chief Commercial Officer at the Scottish Event Campus, expressed her delight: “We are delighted to welcome Peter back to the OVO Hydro for what promises to be a run of fantastic shows, including two dates in April 2026.
“Peter has a long association with the Scottish Event Campus, dating back to his first appearance at the SEC in 2010 and subsequent tours of 2011 and 2023, which visited the OVO Hydro.
“His shows here have been among some of our most anticipated, his dates in 2023 sold out within minutes. Fans in Scotland will be delighted to hear about this new release of tickets for 2026.”
The Bolton-born comedian, 52, has added the Glasgow dates to his Better Late Than Never… Again! tour, which continues to break records across the UK.
However, the funnyman – best known for his ‘garlic bread’ catchphrase – has faced a few controversies during his latest run of shows.
He recently made headlines after comparing a heckler to Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley before asking security to remove her, joking: “Have a drink, have we? Go on, off you go Lisa Riley.”
The remark drew criticism, as Riley has been open about her sobriety, marking nine years without alcohol after previously admitting to drinking two bottles of wine a night.

Weeks later, Kay threatened to eject disruptive fans at his London O2 show and removed another audience member for shouting his famous “garlic bread” line.
Elsewhere, the comic was forced to postpone two performances earlier this year after undergoing surgery for kidney stones.
Despite the hiccups, anticipation remains sky-high for Kay’s Glasgow return, with fans eager to see one of Britain’s most beloved comedians back on stage at the OVO Hydro.
