Return to Paradise were left distracted just moments into the new series as they all said the same thing.
The much-adored spin-off of Death in Paradise made its eagerly-awaited comeback on BBC One tonight (October 31), with detective Mackenzie Clarke (played by Anna Samson) relocating back to her native Dolphin Cove in Australia after a six-year stint in London.
Accused of evidence tampering, she grudgingly heads back Down Under, where she’s met with a chilly welcome, having previously jilted her fiancé, forensic pathologist Glenn Strong (Tai Hara), at the altar.
Meanwhile, DI Jack Mooney also reappears, taking on the role of boss to the show’s first female detective.

The first episode, which aired on Friday (October 31) night, kicked off with Jack and Mackenzie on a call, during which she informs her superior that she won’t be returning to London, reports the Express.
Jack quickly probes why she missed her flight back, and after a bit of sleuthing, he soon deduces that love is the reason for her stay.
In addition to her detective duties, Mackenzie is compelled to confront ex-fiancé Glenn following his startling admission that he still harbours feelings for her, despite his impending nuptials to Daisy.
However, things rapidly spiral as Mackenzie attempts to dodge her ex; they unexpectedly cross paths on the beach, but in a chilling twist, the former lovers discover a scientist, who had been working at a shark research lab, lifeless on a runaway boat.
DI Clarke immediately switches into detective mode, suspecting that the death is a carefully orchestrated murder.
She doesn’t hesitate to seize the opportunity, but as anticipated, everyone on the island quickly questions why she didn’t depart for London.
