Leeds United have multiple players out on loan at present, with some enjoying their spells more than others.

United’s current crop are more than holding their own in the Premier League, proving the 49ers right for their summer overhaul following promotion.

Included in their strategy during the summer were a string of loans. Some of those for players without a future at Elland Road. Some that were seen still part of the long-term plans.

Largie Ramazani struggling for consistent playing time at Valencia, away from Leeds United

When Largie Ramazani was sent out on loan to Valencia, it was a damning indictment of how a mercurial talent was allowed to deteriorate. It got to the point where he wasn’t seen as a useful asset to a team playing counter-attacking football in the Premier League.

Ultimately, his form meant he wasn’t part of the plans and joined Carlos Corberan’s side. His start could not have been better, notching an assist just minutes into his debut off the bench.

However, since then he’s been unable to build on that partly due to injury. Also, it’s been partly due to Corberan not yet showing faith to the Belgian.

82 minutes across his following four league outings as a sub were followed by a recent setback that means he hasn’t played since. Up next is Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu before a potential home reunion with Real Betis’ Junior Firpo.

Leeds United hold recall clause in Largie Ramazani’s Valencia loan contract ahead of January

Should nothing change regarding Ramazani’s lack of consistent minutes, compared to Mateo Joseph and Joe Gelhardt, then Leeds will consider his status in La Liga.

The Athletic’s Beren Cross reveals that Leeds hold a recall option in the winger’s deal. That clause can be exercised when the January window opens.

Should Leeds deem that Corberan isn’t developing Ramazani as they would have hoped, he could be recalled in order to find a different club for the second half of the season.

United will have to wait until the new year to make a decision on Ramazani, though. A recall can’t happen until the window re-opens.
