Former war correspondent Kate Adie has revealed that the Northern Irish dialect wasn’t particularly popular in an old BBC list of the UK’s most hated regional accents.

But the veteran TV reporter, who last week revealed that the Birmingham accent came out top in the unofficial list, claimed Ian Paisley’s voice was near the bottom of the league table.
