Manchester United will aim to continue their Premier League resurgence when they visit the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils have found form under Ruben Amorim, winning their last three league games and climbing back into the top six. Another victory could lift them into the top four, and potentially even second place if other results go their way.

Their hosts, meanwhile, are still adjusting to life under Sean Dyche. The former Everton and Burnley boss replaced Ange Postecoglou earlier this month and oversaw a morale-boosting Europa League win over Porto, but Forest were brought back down to earth with a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth last weekend.

That result extended a miserable Premier League run which has seen them lose six of their last seven matches, failing to score in the last four. Dyche’s new side now sit in the relegation zone, three points adrift of safety, and risk losing five consecutive top-flight matches for the first time in three years.

Goals have been the biggest concern. Dyche’s teams have drawn a blank in 10 of his last 14 league outings, while Forest themselves haven’t found the net against a Premier League opponent since early September.

There is, however, some cause for optimism. Forest have won their last three league meetings with United, including a 1-0 victory at the City Ground in April. They haven’t managed four straight league wins over the Red Devils since 1910.

Is Nottingham Forest v Man Utdon TV?

The game will not be shown live on television in the UK, with the traditional 3pm blackout rule preventing top-flight fixtures from being broadcast during that window.

However, the restriction only applies domestically, meaning overseas fans can still tune in. In the United States, for example, the match will be streamed live on Peacock.

Supporters in the UK hoping to catch the action will need to wait until full-time, when Sky Sports will release short highlights across its app, website, and social media platforms.

Longer coverage will follow later in the evening on Match of the Day, which airs on BBC One at 10.30pm, with the highlights are also available to stream from 8pm on BBC iPlayer.

Nottingham Forest v Man Utd team news

Forest remain without several key players. Last season’s top scorer Chris Wood is sidelined with a knee injury, while new signing Oleksandr Zinchenko (groin) and Ola Aina (hamstring) also miss out. Angus Gunn and Dilane Bakwa are likewise unavailable.

James McAtee could return to the squad after being left out against Bournemouth for tactical reasons, while Brazilian forward Igor Jesus is expected to continue leading the line. Captain Ryan Yates may again be named on the bench.

For United, Harry Maguire could make his return from a minor injury that kept him out of the Brighton win, though Lisandro Martínez remains absent despite returning to training.

Leny Yoro may drop out if Maguire is passed fit, with Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw expected to complete the back three. Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot are likely to continue as wing-backs, while Cunha and Mbeumo should start again in attack alongside Benjamin Šeško.

United’s improved energy and cutting edge make them clear favourites, but Dyche’s Forest will be desperate to produce a performance that signals a new era — and stops their season from unravelling further.
