Gareth Thomas, Labour MP for Harrow West, has visited Cygnet Hospital Harrow to learn more about its services and meet with staff and service users.

During the visit, he toured the wards and spoke with team members about the hospital’s work supporting people with mental health needs.

Located on London Road in Harrow on the Hill, Cygnet Hospital Harrow is a 51-bed mental health hospital for men offering a range of specialist services, including acute mental health care and autism support.

Hospital Manager Will Anderson-White said: “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Gareth Thomas MP to Cygnet Hospital Harrow.

“The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the important role our hospital plays within the local health and social care system.

“We discussed the current healthcare landscape and how we work in close collaboration with the NHS to provide high-quality, complex care for individuals with mental health and specialist needs.

“We were also able to showcase the ways our work extends beyond the hospital through partnerships with local colleges, sports facilities, charities, and volunteering initiatives. As well as our important close clinical links with Northwick Park Hospital.

“We’re proud to be a valued part of the Harrow community and grateful to Gareth for taking the time to visit the wards, engage with our teams, and recognise the positive difference made each day by the staff at Cygnet Hospital Harrow.”
