Kjetil Knutsen is in danger of failing to win three successive Norwegian top flight titles with Bodo/Glimt after falling to defeat against Valerenga.

Bodo/Glimt have become the powerhouses in domestic Norwegian football after winning four of the last five titles.

The work Knutsen has done has made him a prime candidate for the Celtic job, with Hoops fans believing he would be the perfect successor to Brendan Rodgers.

Gordon Strachan’s theory about the Celtic manager also supports the idea of Knutsen taking over at Parkhead in the winter as his contract expires in December.

Before any decision is made, though, Knutsen has a mountain to climb, but one that relies on a few favours from other clubs.
