The scheme will give them a free promotional platform at the Pyramids Shopping Centre, with Wirral Council and centre management offering the pop-up space in the run-up to Christmas.

The Local Business Showcase will run from November 24 to December 12 between 10am and 2pm.

Councillor Paula Basnett, leader of Wirral Council, said: “Wirral is proud to support its local businesses, especially at this key time of year in the run-up to the festive season.

“This is a time when community spirit really comes to the fore and I am sure our Local Business Showcase at the Grange & Pyramids will be a fantastic opportunity for local entrepreneurs.”

Each day, one business will be given a pop-up space to promote their products, raise awareness, and connect with the local community.

The opportunity is promotional only, allowing businesses to raise awareness of their products and services, run giveaways, and sign customers up for future engagement. It is not an opportunity for cash or card transactions.

On the day, participating businesses will receive support from shopping centre staff and additional exposure through the Pyramids’ social media channels.

Cllr Basnett said: “This is a unique opportunity for our local businesses to connect with even more shoppers, and highlight the incredible talent we have right here in Wirral.

“I encourage businesses to apply and be part of this celebration of local enterprise.”

Applications will be screened to avoid duplication, and successful applicants will be notified of their allocated day during the week commencing November 10.

The deadline for applications is November 7.
