The full map for this year’s Manchester Christmas Markets has been revealed for 2025. This Friday (November 7), the much-loved festive markets will return to locations across the city centre.

This year, the markets will be spread across ten locations including Albert Square – the first time in six years that the famous wooden chalets will be found there. As well as a mini market here, there will also be a festive fairground featuring 50m huge Ferris wheel and a Christmas carousel.

The map shows each of the different market locations across the city centre, as well as the locations of festive attractions including Skate Manchester’s ice rink in Cathedral Gardens, the aforementioned Ferris Wheel and, also new this year, the live stage in St Ann’s Square.

It will feature a different setlist every day of ‘not-to-be-missed’ live music sessions from a Santa’s talented line-up of musicians and singers.

As well as highlighting where visitors can find the wooden chalets selling everything from Christmas crafts and gifts to delicious food and drinks, the market map also highlights transport hubs, along with all the toilet stops, and the location of Changing Places facilities.

The biggest ever Manchester Christmas Markets will feature 274 stalls in locations spanning Piccadilly Gardens (The Winter Gardens), Market Street, Corn Exchange, New Cathedral Street, Cathedral Gardens, St Ann’s Square and Exchange Street, Exchange Square and Albert Square.

This year celebrates an incredible 27 years of helping Manchester count down to Christmas, with the legendary markets open this Friday (November 7) for a 6-week, seven-weekend run.

The markets will be open daily until Monday 22 December – except at Cathedral Gardens and Albert Square which will remain open until Sunday, 4 January alongside the ice rink at Cathedral Gardens and festive fairground attractions at Albert Square.

Craft stalls and stalls selling seasonal goods will be open every day at all locations except Market Street from 10 am until 8 pm, whilst food and drink stalls will be open from 11 am until 9pm each day.

The opening hours at Market Street will be from 10 pm until 8 pm every day except Sundays when the stalls there will close at 6 pm.

Councillor Pat Karney, Christmas spokesperson for Manchester City Council, said: “The festive season is my absolute favourite time of the year, and the opening of our world-famous Christmas markets is a big date in the Manchester calendar that can never come round soon enough for me.

“With an amazing 274 stalls to get round this year, I’m going to have my work cut out to get to all of them, but I’m definitely going to give it a go!

“The markets look set to be absolutely incredible this year. See you there for Manchester’s best Christmas ever – I can’t wait!”

Last week, the full list or traders at every location, and the arrival of Skate Manchester at Cathedral Gardens gave market lovers a sneak peak of what to expect – and the prices – this year as some of this year’s market stalls opened.

While prices differ across the various zones, it means customers now have some idea of what this year’s festive food and drinks are going to cost.
