TRNSMT fans will be excited to hear that the huge summer music festival is set to return to Glasgow Green next year as the 2026 dates have been announced.
For those who have been waiting to book their summer holidays around the live music event, TRSNMT is set to kick off summer in style next year at the slightly earlier dates of Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21.
Returning to Glasgow Green, TRNSMT has been a highlight of Scotland’s cultural calendar since 2017. Celebrating the best of the Scottish music scene and featuring unbelievable live performances, fans of the festival will now be waiting in anticipation for next year’s line up.
This year revellers enjoyed iconic performances from headlining acts such as 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol, with many fans heading to the King Tut’s and BBC Introducing stages to enjoy some lesser known acts.

“We can’t wait to kick off summer with you all back in Glasgow Green. Lineup coming very soon, sign up to be the first to know.”
Fans of Scotland’s biggest live music event have since taken to the comments section of the Instagram post, with users having mixed feelings about the new date.
One person wrote: “Announce lineup soon,” with heart eye emojis, while another person added: “Okay I believe this is going to be the best line up.”

With another person agreeing: “I don’t get this. The second weekend in July has always been decent for the weather. So why change it? What is the logic behind this @trnsmtfest.”
While another person jested: “Get your hat, jacket, gloves and scarfs ready for TRNSMT.”
Across the three day event, TRNSMT attracts up to 150,0000 fans each year, transforming Glasgow Green into a hub of live music, food and community.
Geoff Ellis, Festival Director, said: “TRNSMT is always evolving and it’s all about giving fans, artists and the city the best possible experience.
“There is no better way to kick off summer than with an incredible weekend of live music and that unbeatable Scottish crowd.”
Many Scots return to Glasgow year on year to soak up the sun and some of their favourite artists, with some major previous headliners including the likes of Paolo Nutini, Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris and The 1975.

However, it is also important for ticket holders to soak up other areas of the festival besides the main stage, as the King Tut’s Stage has been famous for platforming future headliners in the early stages of their career. This includes Gerry Cinnamon, Lewis Capaldi and Sam Fender.
This must-attend event has a little bit of something for everyone, as fans can explore the BBC Introducing stage, The Hangout, two dance stages, and The Reset area where those who nabbed tickets for TRNSMT 2025 were able to meet artist at the BBC Radio 1 Photobooth.
Tickets, as well as further details such as lineup announcements, will be available soon on the TRNSMT website.
