An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a property in the Drylaw area of the city. 

Police received a report that a man had died at a property on Groathill Road North at around 3.40am on Sunday, November 2. 

The death is being treated as unexplained and officers are currently working to establish the circumstances in which he died. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “We received a report of the death of a man within a property on Groathill Road North in Edinburgh around 3.40am on Sunday, 2 November, 2025. 

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
