Cops are appealing for information after a plush BMW car was firebombed on a Glasgow street last night.
Emergency services were called out to Dixon Avenue in the Govanhill area of the city at around 11.55pm on Saturday evening, April 26.
A BMW had been set ablaze as horrified locals watched on. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene and extinguished the flames. There were no reports of any injuries.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident and say they are following a positive line of enquiry.
Video footage from the scene shows flames pouring out of the inside of the motor which was parked on the corner of two residential streets.

Other clips showed police and fire crews in attendance with the car taped off. Police Scotland released a full statement following the wilful fire.

The statement read: “Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising in Glasgow.
“Around 11.55pm on Saturday, 26 April, 2025, a grey BMW was set on fire in Dixon Avenue. The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.

Detective Sergeant Paul McKenna added: “We are following a positive line of enquiry, and our enquiries are ongoing. I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.” Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 0052 of 27 April.
