The company, which started life in its founder’s sun lounge in Pedmore, said it is committed to innovation, safety and environmental responsibility.
Michael Boyles, sales director at Weatherite, said: “We are extremely proud to introduce this cutting-edge R290 heat pump to the market.
“It’s the result of intense research and development, conducted in collaboration with leading UK academic institutions.
“Our goal was to develop a low-carbon system that doesn’t just meet regulatory standards but sets a new benchmark for safety and real-world efficiency.”
The launch comes at a crucial time for the HVAC industry, with increasing regulations around synthetic refrigerants.
Weatherite’s new unit has been designed to be safe, efficient, cost-effective and scalable.
The system, designed, tested, and built entirely in Britain, includes fully hermetic compressors, optimised heat exchangers, an advanced defrost cycle management system, and a custom-developed multifunctional safety architecture.
The new system is said to be capable of reducing system downtime and energy waste.
The R290 unit has been developed in anticipation of future legislative changes, ensuring businesses won’t face costly retrofits or replacements in the near future, the company said.
