Don Goodman believes Leeds United could still prise Haji Wright away from Coventry City in the January transfer window.
Wright was linked with a move away from the Sky Blues throughout the summer, although he eventually remained at the CBS Arena.

Despite missing out on a move to the Premier League, the 27-year-old has been in brilliant form in the Championship. He has scored eight goals in 13 second-tier appearances, helping Coventry become the most dangerous attacking team in the division.
They are currently four points clear at the top of the table and look to be on course for a return to the Premier League.
With that in mind, a January transfer could be viewed as a gamble for Wright. However, Goodman thinks the prospect of a switch to a top-flight club like Leeds could tempt the player.

“It’s an interesting decision that Haji Wright would have to make,” he told Football League World Cup (h/t the Yorkshire Post). “I’m not sure if you can snub a Premier League club in November, when the transfer window is a while away yet, and obviously we need to establish whether this is just speculation or not.
“Look, they’re two phenomenal clubs, but I’m not sure that there are many Championship players who would turn down the opportunity to come to a Premier League club.
“This may come down to how Leeds are looking in the table. Will he be joining a relegation battle? Or will they be comfortable, and he can then establish himself as a Premier League player? So, it’s a difficult decision all round, but a nice position for him to be in.”

It would be no surprise if Leeds were on the lookout for a centre-forward in January, as their striking options are yet to fire.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been the first choice in the position this season, but has only scored one Premier League goal so far. Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha are Daniel Farke’s other options to lead the line.
