Both India and Pakistan are in pool C alongside Kuwait. The 12 participating teams in the competition are divided into four groups with three teams each.
The tournament was initially inaugurated in the 1990s. The tournament ran from 1993-1997 and returned from 2001-2012, and had a year in 2017, and was relaunched again last year.

The Indian Heaven’s Premier League (IHPL), a private T20 cricket tournament in Srinagar, ended abruptly in scandal when its organizers, the Yuva Society Mohali, allegedly fled the city on November 2nd, leaving behind a massive trail of unpaid dues. Over 50 players, including former international stars like Praveen Kumar, were stranded at their hotel due to an uncleared bill reportedly worth Rs 51 lakh, with news spreading that prominent foreign players like Chris Gayle and Jesse Ryder had already left. Police have registered a case against the organizers for cheating and criminal breach of trust after the tournament, which was not sanctioned by the BCCI, collapsed midway, leaving players, officials, and vendors unpaid and damaging the region’s sporting reputation.
