EastEnders spoilers follow.
A gut-punching new story for EastEnders’ Lauren Branning is set to air later this month, according to official teasers. The plot coincides with the BBC’s Scam Safe week, which will deliver a week’s worth of special programming to help the public stay informed when it comes to fraud.
Lauren’s plot will shine a light on how scammers play into people’s emotions surrounding their loved ones, and convince them to part with their money.

Lauren and husband Peter Beale were then told that the tot has optic nerve and chorioretinal coloboma, meaning he has severely impaired eyesight.
Now, Lauren will ultimately be duped out of her money when she realises the treatment plan she found is actually a scam.

Lauren wrestles with a difficult decision, Anthony supports Zoe, and Ian and Elaine’s feud intensifies.
Thursday, November 27 – 7.30pm
The Kimfluencer slips up, with consequences for Elaine, Anthony looks to the future, and the truth dawns on a horrified local.
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
