NICOLA Sturgeon was branded “shameful” after refusing to apologise to women over her failed gender self-ID push.
The ex-First Minister had been silent on the Supreme Court ruling 12 days ago that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex.

But she remained defiant when tracked down by journalists at the weekend and asked for her response to the judgement.
She said: “I think my views are well known.”
Fiona McAnena, of charity Sex Matters, said: “It’s little wonder she has no response.
“Women will not easily forgive or forget her efforts to destroy their rights.
“Sturgeon must be held accountable for her shameful promotion of policies that did so much harm to vulnerable women, such as those in prisons and in the care of rape crisis services.”
Kate Barker, of gay rights group LGB Alliance, added: “There’s no point expecting an apology from Nicola Sturgeon.
“Instead, we’d like to thank her for giving the public and the judiciary the opportunity to roundly reject self-ID.”
Ms Sturgeon led the drive for gender self-ID in Scotland as First Minister, then quit.
Tory MSP Tess White said: “Nicola Sturgeon’s deafening silence on the ruling has been unforgivable, especially after she told women their concerns over self-ID weren’t ‘valid’.
“She should show some humility, admit she was wrong, and apologise to women and girls for her abject failure to look after them as First Minister.”

Ms Sturgeon was previously widely slammed for downplaying fears for women and girls’ safety by describing opponents of self-ID as “misogynist, homophobic, possibly racist”.
