Scotland are one of the national teams around the world aiming for success in international competition this season.

The national team, who former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay plays for, currently sit second in their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying group with Denmark above the team on goal difference.

But, with fixtures against Greece and Denmark upcoming, their fate is – arguably – in their own hands going into the qualification stage’s closing set of games.

If Scotland finish first in the group, they will automatically qualify for next year’s tournament across the Atlantic.

But, if the side – managed by Steve Clarke – finish second in their group, their fate will decide on an additonal round of fixtures.

Away from the senior team, age group national teams are also undergoing the same process of qualification currently as the sides aim to qualify for the respective tournaments in their age groups.

With this the case, differing teams have been selecting the different names to take part in their squads for the encounters.

Now, Scotland’s Under-19s team have named their squad with a Manchester United duo featuring.

Revealing the selection on the official Scotland FA website, Scotland have revealed manager Neil MacFarlane has named a squad of twenty players to travel to Lithuania for fixtures against Latvia, Lithunia, and England.

Amongst the names chosen are Daniel Armer and Tyler Fletcher who both currently play for United’s Under-21s side.

Previously, England revealed their selection for the same set of fixtures with Harry Amass and Jack Fletcher selected for the side meaning that Jack Fletcher and Tyler Fletcher – who are brothers – could face off on opposite sides.

With the selection now revealed, attention could turn towards the games themselves which will take place in the middle of this month.
