The major new TV special Wicked: One Wonderful Night, celebrating the Wicked movie musicals, including new movie Wicked: For Good, is now available to watch in the UK.
Wicked: One Wonderful Night comes two weeks before the release of Wicked: For Good, the second part of the blockbuster Wicked movies based on the hit West End and Broadway show.
Directed by Jon M. Chu, Wicked: For Good follows the events of the 2024 Wicked movie, which earned $755.5 million at the worldwide box office and scored 10 Oscar nominations.

The two-hour TV special, Wicked: One Wonderful Night, saw the cast from both Wicked movies come together to celebrate, including Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Marissa Bode as Nessarose and Ethan Slater as Boq. Sadly Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero wasn’t able to attend.
Wicked: One Wonderful Night was filmed at the Dolby Theatre in LA, and transformed the whole venue into the Emerald City for one special night. A 37-piece live orchestra led by award-winning musical director Stephen Oremus accompanied live performances from the cast of Wicked: For Good.

Performances at Wicked: One Wonderful Night included Erivo and Grande singing “What is This Feeling?” at the event, and Judy Garland classic “Get Happy”; Ariana also singing “Popular”, “No-one Mourns the Wicked” and “Thank Goodness”, and Cynthia performing “Defying Gravity” and “I’m Not That Girl”. Yang, Bode and Slater sang Fiyero’s song “Dancing Through Life”.
Cynthia Erivo and Jeff Goldblum duetted on “The Wizard and I”, and Michelle Yeoh also performed on the night.
Two brand new songs from Wicked: For Good were also performed, written by the show’s composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. The songs are “No Place Like Home” sung by Cynthia Erivo and “The Girl in the Bubble” performed by Ariana Grande.

The TV event aired on NBC in the US on Thursday 6 November 2025.
The TV special is also playing on Saturday 8 November at 8pm on Sky MAX in the UK. You can also stream it right now on Sky and NOW in the UK, from today (8 November).
Wicked is also playing live in the West End, running at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London.
