Summerwater
Described by Channel 4 as a “thrilling and compulsive six-part” series, the sinister events in Summerwater take place against the backdrop of a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park.
Based on Sarah Moss’s best-selling book of the same name, the drama sees simmering tensions between the holidaymakers reach their peak as several families attempt to resolve their private issues.
Channel 4 promises a “devastating climax” in the star-studded series that includes performances from Dougray Scott, Shirley Henderson, Shauna Macdonald and Jamie Sives.
Summerwater will be available to watch from Sunday 16 November on Channel 4.

Wild Cherry
From the BAFTA-award winning creator of Mood, Nicôle Lecky, comes this scandalous, “provocative” thriller. The BBC series starring Eve Best centres around two teens Grace (Imogen Faires) and Allegra (Amelia May) whose worlds are rocked when a shocking scandal at their private school incriminates them.
“Toxic secrets and lies ripple throughout the community,” (via the synopsis) and the mother-daughter bond is tested when they step in to handle the mess.
The BBC describes the six-part series as “a coming-of-age drama for both mothers and daughters as they navigate privilege, power and social media.” Expect danger and betrayal to erupt.
Wild Cherry will be available to watch from Saturday 15 November on BBC iPlayer and BBC One at 9pm.

Claire Danes stars as the broken acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs, who has retreated from public life following the tragic death of her young son.
Aggie finds herself creatively blocked since her son’s passing until an unlikely subject sparks her interest. When the house next door is bought by “famed and formidable real estate mogul” Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), Aggie is drawn to him.
Nile, once the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife both fascinates and horrifies Aggie as she finds herself compelled to dig for the truth, starting a potentially deadly game of cat and mouse.

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan delivers a brand-new second season of his West Texas-set drama Landman.
Following the shocking events in season one, Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), crisis manager for the oil company M-Tex, is on a mission of the dominating kind as he seeks to gain even more power but could it be to his own undoing?
As the synopsis details “as oil rises from the earth, so do secrets – and [Tommy’s] breaking point may be closer than he realises.” Survival is brutal, “and sooner or later something’s got to break.”
Landman, season 2 will be available to watch from Sunday 16 November on Paramount+.

Season two’s cliffhangers are about to be resolved with the arrival of season three of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It can’t come soon enough for fans desperate for answers.
Jessi’s alleged affair with Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette is still a hot topic but not the only noteworthy drama.
Expect to see loyalties tested, friendships strained and clashes amongst the sisterhood.

A series of macabre letters provoke Bill out of retirement as he commits himself to hunting and bringing to justice the cold, cruel killer but what he risks to do so could land him in a world of felonious trouble.
The thriller series that spanned three seasons was adapted from the works of Stephen King and also stars Holland Taylor and Mary-Louise Parker.

Between the wide wealth gap and the deadly outbreak of cholera, the samurai’s chance of survival looks bleak, that is, until they are invited to enter a violent game called Kodoku. A tournament boasting a prize of 100 billion yen for the lucky winner; but to win only one must survive. And that person must be ruthless in their pursuit of victory to become the last samurai standing.
