Liverpool confirmed their status as Premier League champions with a thumping 5-1 win against Tottenham.

The Reds showed why they’re the best team in England this season with one of their biggest wins of the campaign at home against Tottenham, with Liverpool securing the title as a party-like atmosphere engulfed Anfield.

With Arne Slot joining in on the title celebrations with the Liverpool squad, every single person associated with the Reds inside the stadium was basking in the euphoria of winning the Premier League with everyone having been robbed of the chance five years ago.

And Steve McManaman has now shared something he loved about Liverpool’s post-match celebrations on the pitch.

Speaking to Premier League’s official website, the former Liverpool star shared how he spotted staff members from all levels with the club celebrating on the pitch with the players, from the kitmen to the medical staff.

With Liverpool priding themselves as a community club, seeing members of the staff who work way behind the scenes join in on the celebrations was more than deserved given how big a role everyone has played leading into today’s title win.

And McManaman loved seeing familiar faces join in with the celebrations, with the pundit saying: “What was really nice about the celebrations, apart from the players, is seeing some of the kitmen, the medical staff, the physios.

“They’ve been here a long time, we know them personally. It’s really nice seeing them all included, they help the team, so when the team win, they all win, and they all share in the happiness.”

Liverpool staff deserve this moment alongside the fans

With Covid-19 robbing Liverpool fans the chance to celebrate a Premier League title without the fans, today’s win against Tottenham is something that supporters have been waiting for since 2020.

And Liverpool’s staff deserve this moment of celebration just as much as the players alongside the fans, with every member at the club playing a role in this season’s Premier League title win in emphatic fashion.

Indeed, Liverpool fans know how much this title means for the entire club, and staff members should be granted the right to celebrate on the pitch with the fans today in what will be a day to remember for everyone associated with the Anfield side.
