Rohl was keen to give his left-back Jayden Meghoma credit for a lung-bursting run that made his side’s third goal happen

The Rangers support reckon Danny Rohl has got their team playing electric.

But Nico Raskin admits they’ve yet to reach full voltage.

The 3-0 win at Dens certainly saw the visitors overpower Steven Pressley’s struggling Dark Blues, especially during a slick first-half display that saw Raskin and Mikey Moore hit the net.

But their energy levels dipped after the break and it was only due to Dundee’s lack of firepower that Gers didn’t suffer another Premiership meltdown.

For Raskin, however, a third straight win was another positive sign as the Ibrox side look to recharge their Premiership batteries.

He said: “Yeah, it’s great. We can build something on that, so it’s good.

“We look forward to the next game and hopefully we can keep going.

“We just had three wins in a row in the league, so it’s just about trying to keep going and keep doing the same stuff and scoring goals, not conceding, trying to win games and looking forward.

“The manager has come in and tried to give us some confidence, some freedom to play, go and enjoy.

“It’s not been perfect every time, but we’re trying to work hard as a team and trying to look forward, taking game by game, trying to improve and I think we’re going in the right direction.

Rangers’ Nicolas Raskin celebrates with Mikey Moore

“We just need to keep believing in what the gaffer has given us and keep focusing on our task and then it’ll be good.”

Raskin has been at the centre of off-field drama this season after a bust-up with former boss Russell Martin.

But this time he was just pleased to be in the right place at the right time to head home the opener after Dundee’s zonal marking system suffered a malfunction.

He said: “Yes, obviously when you win games you enjoy more, that’s a fact.

“For me personally, I’ve been trying to get my form back, trying to find some way to perform after a very difficult period, mentally especially. But listen, it’s all about the team.

“Was I surprised to get that much space for the goal? Yes and no, because we’ve got some guys that can head the ball very well in the team, so they can’t pick us all up.

“They made a choice and today was the perfect delivery from Tav and I just had to put it in.”

The travelling fans have spiced up their tribute chant to Rohl – song to 60s disco classic Daddy Cool – with that electric claim.

And the manager was delighted to see his players zap the Dee.

He said: “We spoke that we respect the opponent but our expectation is to win this game.

“I want to see a team that is hungry for wins and also winning duels. In the first half we played with a lot of dynamism. The mix between in behind and in front in the red zone served us well.

“We scored early and that gives us confidence and we controlled the game.

“In the second half I made three changes, I thought it was important to bring fresh energy in and give opportunities.

“My team is learning I always use the full squad. At the end we make it a fantastic 3-0 – I am very happy Djeidi Gassama scored but more important was the run from Jayden Meghoma after 90 minutes, he made a tremendous overlap run and that was the reason his teammate is free.

“Do I want to see more and more? Yes. Take this as the next step and we carry on.”

Rohl made four changes to the team that lost to Roma as he recalled Bojan Miovski alongside Danilo, Mohamed Diomande and Derek Cornelious.

But the former Aberdeen ace lasted just 45 minutes before being hooked as the German boss made a triple half-time change.

Asked if he was closer yet to finding his best line-up, he said: “A really good question. You look closer and you see more and more which players have potential. And which players have to improve.

“Yesterday evening I started to put all my notes together about the strengths and potential of the players and what we have to improve.

“With just eleven players, we will not win. There are a lot of games, we need to use the full squad.

“That is the reason why I try to improve everyone. At the moment we can speak about Mikey Moore for example. He makes a huge step, he scored today. Also other players scoring means it is going in the right direction.”
