A Brit has issued her honest verdict after going to a Primark store in the US for the first time to see how it compares to the UK.
Primark first opened in the US in 2015, and has since grown to have over 30 stores across the country in several different states, including one of Brits’ favourite holiday destinations – Florida. But how similar are these stores compared to the ones we know and love across the UK? This is something a Brit named Lily Rudkin wanted to find out as she went to inspect one Primark store in question on her recent holiday to Florida.
Taking to TikTok, Lily decided to share her experience with her followers, as she revealed the moment she stepped into the Florida Primark for the first time.
“Guys, I’m at a Florida mall, and they literally have a Primark,” she said as she turned the camera to show the outside of the store. “I have never been to a Primark in America before, so let’s go see if it’s the same as England.”
As she went inside, she got an overlook of the store before saying she thought it looked similar to the Primark stores in the UK.

Lily made sure to show the different clothes that were hanging on the rails, including some jumpers, dresses, as well as pairs of trousers which caught her eye.
“These pants are literally so soft,” she said as she showed the grey trousers she was talking about. She then rushed over to another piece of clothing that had stood out to her.
The item in question was a brown fur coat with a big fluffy collar and buttons to closer it, which she quickly decided she had to bring home with her.
However, for her ultimate test, Lily went over to the pyjamas section to see if the selection available was just as good as the ones in the UK.
“I feel like the moment of truth will be the pyjama section, because I feel like it’s not gonna be the same as England, but we’ll have a look what it’s like,” she said as she walked over to the section of the store.
The first thing she spotted was the velvet versions of the store’s popular boyfriend style pyjamas set, which comes with trousers and a button top.
These set cost $28 (£21.25) each, which she compared to the UK ones which cost around £15-£17, depending on the type of fabric you want them to be.
She then spotted another pyjamas, which were white with dogs printed over them, which she recognised from UK stores. Lily also pointed out a pair of fluffy slippers, which she claimed were her favourite and was happy to see them in a different colour in the US store.
As she went back to the normal clothing section, she gave her final verdict: “I do feel like the clothing section isn’t as good as England thought, but it’s still very similar and it would give me a Primark fix if I lived over here.”
