Of course, the tongue-in-cheek style of Tumanowicz’s statement means he was just having a little fool around, but it does highlight just how big and important the release of GTA 6 will be for the video games industry. You don’t get the same kind of parliamentary coverage for the Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra delay, announced just a few hours after the GTA 6 pushback.
GTA 6 will now launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19th November 2026, as long as there isn’t a third delay. Last week, Rockstar said the “extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve”.
