A man with an “offensive weapon” fled the scene after allegedly smashing up a number of vehicles and assaulting another man.

A large police presence was seen along Two Mile Hill in East Bristol this afternoon (Monday, November 10) after a man was reportedly seen damaging vehicles around 12.30pm.

The man was seen with an offensive weapon and became involved in an altercation with another man, police confirmed.

The other man has suffered minor injuries as a result.

A man has been described as being white, of slim build and roughly between 30 and 40 years old.

He has blond hair, is around 5ft 5ins tall, and was wearing a grey hooded top and shorts.

Police said he fled the scene in a grey ford Mondeo.

Officers are now appealing for information from the public.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage is asked to contact the force.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Officers are at the scene of an incident where a man has been reported for damaging vehicles outside of a premises in Two Mile Hill Road, Kingswood, at around 12.25pm today (Monday 10 November).

“The man was reported to have been in possession of an offensive weapon and involved in an altercation with another man, who suffered minor injuries.

“He has been described as a white man, slim, between the ages of 30 and 40, with blond hair, around 5ft 5ins tall, who was wearing a grey hooded top and shorts.

“He is believed to have left the scene in a grey Ford Mondeo.

“Any witnesses or those with CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage from around the time of the incident are asked to call us on 101 quoting 5225314636 or complete our online appeals form.”
