A young girl is in a critical condition in hospital following a crash involving a lorry in Co Derry on Monday afternoon, November 10.
Police, fire crews, ambulance staff including and the Air Ambulance attended the scene of the collision on the Boleran Road in Limavady.
A traffic alert was issued by police shortly after 4pm on Monday. Officers asked people to avoid the area.

A statement from the PSNI on Monday night said: “Police received a report of a road traffic collision in the Boleran Road area of Limavady involving a lorry and a child pedestrian shortly before 4pm, today Monday 10th November.
“Officers alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene.”The girl remains in hospital at this time being treated for injuries which are described as critical. The road remains closed at this time and road users are advised to seek an alternative route.”
A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) spokesperson said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 15:51 on Monday, 10th November, following reports of an RTC in the Boleran Road area, Coleraine.
“NIAS dispatched two emergency ambulances, an ambulance officer, a rapid response paramedic, and the Charity Air Ambulance with the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) team on board were also tasked to the scene.
“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one person was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast for Sick Children by Air Ambulance.”
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was called to Boleran Road, Ringsend, Coleraine at 3.51pm on Monday, November 10.
A NIFRS spokesperson added: “Firefighters are currently in attendance at an incident on Boleran Road, Ringsend, Coleraine. Two appliances from Coleraine Fire Station are currently in attendance. The incident is ongoing.”
A PSNI spokesperson said earlier: “Road users are advised that the Boleran Road in Limavady is shut due to a serious road traffic collision. Officers are in attendance and local diversions are in place.”
