One mum was left amazed by the price she paid for her family meal while on holiday in Tenerife

As the nights get lighter and the days get hotter, it is getting easier to see the signs of warmer summer months emerging.
With these months getting closer, many of us will be looking to start planning a summer break somewhere that is typically much warmer than the UK.
But, while holidays are supposed to be a luxurious time for us to relax, they can also bring concerns as we look to budget our costs for the duration of the time that we are away from home.
This budgeting can be particularly anxiety inducing if you are looking to eat-out multiple times while you are away, especially if you are unsure of what the end cost of the meal will be.
While enjoying her family holiday in Tenerife one TikTok user, @gemmaloveden, was left in “shock” at the price she paid for her meal for seven.
Posting a series of clips from her family meal on the social media platform, Gemma wrote: “Join us for an unforgettable evening meal in Tenerife as a family of 7. Prepare to be shocked by the price we paid for this amazing experience.”
She added: “I bet the price we paid will really shock you – we couldn’t believe it.”

The family did not hold back on what they ordered, with the clip showing a table full of pizza, steak, chicken and some drinks.
But when it came to covering the bill for the family of seven, Gemma was pleasantly surprised by the restaurants
Expecting to have to hand over a fair handful of money to cover the meal for seven, the mum-of-five was pleasantly surprised after receiving the restaurant’s bill. In the clip, she said: “Evening meal this evening cost €54.84 (around £45).”
Since the video was posted, other TikTok users have flocked to the clip’s comment section to express their amazement at the restaurant’s low prices.
One TikTok user, @Emma-Beauty Academy, expressed their shock at the price as they wrote: “How!!!!! That’s amazing !!”
Responding to the clip, one holiday maker, @mrgumby5, wrote: “That would be £150 easy in Turkey.” Another, @jaynenuttall, added: “Good price. We normally pay roughly 50-60 euros for 3 people.”
