A county drugs line operating in Birmingham was smashed after a car stop led to a suitcase being found with a dealer’s name and address on it.

Officers from West Midlands Police’s County Lines Taskforce were investigating a line supplying Class A drugs into Erdington.

They stopped a car in Birmingham last December and found Noor Khan with a large amount of wraps of Class A drugs.

Officers also found a phone, which was believed to be used for the ‘Noor Line’.

The 47-year-old was arrested and searches were carried out at addresses in Frederick Road, Stechford.

At one address a suitcase with more than £20,000-worth of heroin and cocaine was found.

It had Khan’s name written on the front, along with his home address. Other drug-dealing equipment was also found.

Khan, of Frederick Road in Stechford, admitted to supplying crack cocaine and heroin in June this year. He was jailed for five years and seven months at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday, November 5.

West Midlands Police said: “A man has been jailed for drugs offences after we found a suitcase with his name on it containing heroin.

“Officers from our County Lines Taskforce were investigating a drugs line running from Birmingham. The line, known as the ‘Noor Line’ – which was being run by Noor Khan – was found to be supplying Class A drugs in the Erdington area of Birmingham.

“A car was stopped in Birmingham in December last year, where Khan was found with a large amount of wraps of Class A drugs along with a phone which was believed to be used for the Noor Line.

“The 47-year-old was arrested, and further searches were carried out at addresses in Frederick Road, Stechford.”

The statement continued: “Following searches of two addresses, a suitcase with Khan’s name written on the front, along with his home address, was found to be containing over £20,000 worth of heroin and cocaine.

“Other drug paraphernalia, including a chopping board, scales and bags were also located.

“In June this year Khan pleading guilty to be being concerned in supply of crack cocaine, and being concerned in supply of heroin.”
