DISRUPTION to trains on the Cross City South line to Redditch and Bromsgrove is set to continue until midday on Wednesday (November 12).
Due to signal faults at Kings Norton. some lines have been closed and services from Birmingham New Street to Redditch and Bromsgrove were suspended.
No trains ran between Birmingham New Street to Bromsgrove and Redditch ran for the rest of the day (Tuesday) – instead, rail replacement buses ferried passengers to where they needed to be.
In an update this evening (Tuesday), West Midlands Railway have advised passengers not to travel as services between Birmingham New Street and Redditch / Bromsgrove could not run. This is affecting trains in both directions.
Network Rail and staff are on site looking into the signalling issue. Repairs are expected to continue overnight and into tomorrow (Wednesday, November 12).
