A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Walton this evening. Emergency services were called to Warbreck Moor at around 5.45pm on Wednesday, November 12, following reports a man had been hit by a car. A force incident manager for Merseyside Police confirmed the man was taken to hospital following the collision.
It has not been confirmed if the man suffered any injures in the crash. A cordon remained in place at the junctions of Warbeck Moor and Eastbourne Road, extending to Melling Road, but this has since been removed.
Witnesses reported “chaos” in the area due to traffic disruption.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix said: “A59 Warbreck Moor in both directions partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident at Eastbourne Road.”

Arriva North West also warned passengers of diversions, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “Due to a road traffic collision in the Walton area, buses are unable to call at Orrell Park.”
The road has since reopened.
