Towns will be lit up with switch-on events running from Friday November 14 until Friday December 5.

First up are Crankhall Lane, Friar Park, on Friday November 14 and Blackheath on Saturday November 15.

The council is offering free family-friendly nights full of magical Christmas fun across the towns.

Here is where you will find our Christmas lights switch-ons:

Crankhall Lane, Friar Park (Near the Post Office): Friday 14 November from 4pm to 7.30pm (switch-on at 7pm)

Blackheath (High Street): Saturday 15 November from 5pm to 7pm (switch-on at 6.30pm)

Smethwick (Council House): Thursday 20 November from 5pm to 6pm (switch-on at 5.45pm)

Bearwood (Near the clock): Friday 21 November from 5pm to 6pm (switch-on at 5.45pm)

Wednesbury (Near the clock tower): Saturday 22 November from 1pm to 6.30pm (switch-on at 6pm)

West Bromwich (Farley Fountain, behind Primark): Saturday 22 November from 3pm to 6pm (switch-on at 5.15pm)

Tipton (Unity Walk): Friday 28 November from 4pm to 6.30pm (switch-on at 6.15pm)

Langley (High Street): Saturday 29 November from 5pm to 7.30pm (switch-on at 5.30pm)

Oldbury (Between Sandwell Council House and Sainsbury’s): Friday 5 December from 3pm to 6.30pm (switch-on at 6pm)

Councillor Suzanne Hartwell, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Community, said: “Our free Sandwell Christmas lights switch-on events are such a joyous occasion in our towns as we all join together with families, friends and neighbours to celebrate the start of the festive season.

“We are proud to continue such a well-loved tradition while also supporting local businesses and showcasing what our community has to offer. As these events begin, we encourage our residents to join and enjoy Christmas lights, festive music and create jolly memories as a community.”

 All events are free to attend and there is no need to book.
